District Artist of the Month: Almira Zhusupova

Kudos to our District Artist of the Month, Almira Zhusupova, Stony Creek 5th Grader! Inspired by the work of Kehinde Wiley, Almira created a self-portrait featuring a bold, meaningful background. Almira chose to fill her background with the word “me,” explaining, “because I love me!” We love Almira’s confidence and the powerful message of self-love behind her work. Shoutout to Art Teacher Mrs. Coyle and Principal Carter for celebrating and supporting our amazing young artists.
